  • Proactive Facility Management: The core of this role involves the proactive management of the data centre's electrical, mechanical, and environmental systems. Candidates with a strong understanding of critical facility solutions and strategies will find this particularly engaging.
  • Supplier and Stakeholder Relations: Developing and managing relationships with supplier maintainers and maintaining positive interactions with internal and external clients are crucial. Strong communication and interpersonal skills will be highly valued.
  • Technical Acumen: A foundational understanding of Building Management Systems (BMS), particularly systems like Vertiv Sitescan, is beneficial. Familiarity with site security systems (CCTV, access control) and the ability to support electrical and mechanical works are also key.

  • Qualifications & Experience: While GSCE level education is typical, holding a full UK driving license is essential. Qualifications such as a computer-based subject, JIB electrician certification, or advantageous certifications like HV/AP engineer or FGAS 2079/MVQ level 2 will significantly strengthen your application.
  • Security Clearance: This role requires security clearance at BPSS/SC level, which will be facilitated by Atos.
