The role holder will be developing new world class capabilities within Deodorants packaging, providing strategic leadership to the technical delivery of business priorities, and establish new ways of working to improve capability, capacity & functional excellence. A key part of the Deodorants packaging & aerosol team, the role holder will also be responsible for creating a high performing team environment and developing future packaging talent. Main Responsibilities: The main responsibilities and accountabilities of the role are: Establish & lead a new world class packaging capability on Decoration, to support distinctive designs which have strong shelf stand out & enables premiumisation. Lead execution of Deo category packaging strategy & embed new ways of working across the organisation. Enable operational excellence across the packaging development programme in totality (eg, via âAir Traffic Controlâ, ensuring leadership team have sufficient capability & capacity deployed to programme priorities. Oversee the Deodorants packaging Make it Profitable programme in totality, ensuring strong roadmap of activities to maintain funnel sufficiency. Lead the packaging development for transformational initiatives to drive productivity & profitability, in partnership with cross functional teams. Provide strategic leadership for Packaging R&D Ecosystem, strengthening existing partnerships & building new partnerships to enhance our capabilities (eg in injection moulding). Drive packaging functional excellence across the global community, creating deep expertise & capability in injection moulding. Ensuring teams operate according to best practices in packaging design, validation, compliance & risk management. As part of Packaging & Aerosols leadership team help nurture a high performing team, embed Unilever behaviours & develop future packaging talent. Requirements: At least 10 years of experience in packaging development, preferably personal care/deodorants industry. Experience in packaging development with Injection Moulding is preferable. Strong track record of delivery of complex projects, with evidence of strong risk management practices. Demonstrable experience of building relationships with suppliers, and working in partnership to develop new packaging. Strong communication skills, with an ability to interact across a range of functions, leadership teams, and external partners. Knowledge of Unilever and, or Industry Safety and quality standards & regulatory requirements. . A growth mindset, with the ability to spot & develop ideas to create growth opportunities. A strong people leader, with the ability to motivate teams in to achieve challenging goals and accelerate the development of key talent.
