Team/Role Overview

Citis Investor and Issuer Services businesses support the full securities lifecycle including issuance, custody, funds servicing, lending and collateral services. Citi provides services to global blue chip financial intermediaries and investors in over 100 markets and is the leading proprietary network bank with our Services business occupying a number one market position.

What youll do

The Product Director will be responsible for driving digital asset strategy and product delivery reporting directly to the Head of Digital Assets and working closely with the Product, Operations, Technology and Risk partners across the organisation. Responsibilities include development of strategy, product development & management, legal & risk analysis, supporting operations and technology requirements, leading initiatives through internal governance and approval processes, developing commercial models and supporting the sales and onboarding processes. The candidate will also engage with external industry initiatives, regulators, clients and develop thought leadership.

Lead initiatives to develop new digital asset capabilities in line with business strategy.

Responsible for successful product implementation driving engagement with partners such as business heads, product management, operations, technology, risk, legal, compliance and client management.

Work with the Head of Digital Assets to develop the digital asset strategy, planning and commercial models.

Responsibility for the delivery of the digital asset product workstreams including:

business requirements for technology development, including a clear definition of success criteria

product scope, governance and approval documentation and internal approval processes

development of risk and control framework working closely with Risk, Legal and Compliance to ensure risks are understood, documented and mitigated

develop commercialisation plans

Act as a Digital Assets subject matter expert.

Represent the firm on external initiatives or advocacy efforts.

Form partnerships with external suppliers and lead supplier engagement.

Maintain a close relationship with key stakeholders and partners including Operations & Technology and work in partnership to develop capabilities.

What well need from you

Essential the candidate has delivered digital asset solutions within Financial Services or similar Fintech/Digital Asset providers.

Strong experience within financial services ideally within post trade services, including custody.

Proven track record in leading and driving product development and management, engaging with technology, operations, product, risk and compliance.

Strong risk & control experience and mindset within Financial Services and Digital Assets.

Strong experience in regulatory engagement, client and industry facing experience.

Background in product, operational processes, technology platforms and front office activities desirable.

Experience in managing people and teams.

Experience in managing budgets programme delivery.

Experience of working in a large, global organisation and managing cross functional teams and stakeholders.

Degree holder, ideally in Business/Finance or other related fields although not essential
