The role
Join our dynamic and ambitious Advancement team as a Donor Relations Coordinator, where you’ll play a vital role in supporting our philanthropically funded scholarship programme. This is an exciting opportunity to ensure seamless administration, build meaningful relationships with scholars, and develop engaging initiatives to enhance their experience. You’ll also collaborate closely with fundraisers to support donor stewardship, fostering strong connections with those who make these opportunities possible.
In this role, you’ll help drive effective donor engagement through thoughtful recognition, communication, and stewardship. Working with colleagues in the Philanthropy Team, you’ll contribute to personalised engagement strategies, curate compelling impact stories, and highlight the importance of philanthropy. From coordinating donor gifts to planning memorable visits, you’ll create opportunities that strengthen relationships and reinforce donor support for the University of Surrey.
About you
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for making a difference. You should have:
Experience in donor relations, fundraising, communications, or stakeholder engagement.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling reports and correspondence.Strong relationship-building abilities to engage with donors, scholars, and internal stakeholders.Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.A collaborative approach, working effectively across teams to support donor engagement.Candidates who are shortlisted will be invited for an in-person interview on Wednesday, 16 April 2025.
