As a Driver at Babcock, your role is crucial for maintaining the operational readiness of vital training assets. You will be instrumental in ensuring the safe and efficient transport and upkeep of vehicles and equipment, adhering to approved procedures and contributing to high-quality results. Key Responsibilities and Daily Activities:

• Ensuring all vehicles are meticulously fuelled, cleaned, and prepared for immediate operational use.
• Safely transporting trucks and vehicles to and from the main site for essential servicing and maintenance.
• Contributing to general site upkeep, including sweeping, tidying, and maintaining work areas to ensure a safe and organised environment.
• Conducting vital monthly service checks on trucks to guarantee roadworthiness and sustained operational capability.

This is a full-time role, requiring 37 hours per week, and is based at the DSG Catterick site in North Yorkshire.

What You Bring to the Role: Essential Experience and Qualifications

Candidates will be assessed on their practical experience and qualifications. To be considered, you will need:

• Essential Experience:
  • Proven practical experience in maintaining the roadworthiness of vehicles.
  • Demonstrable experience in load restraint and load safety practices.
• Essential Qualifications:
  • A valid HGV Category C Driving Licence.
• Desirable Qualifications:
  • A Forklift Licence would be advantageous.
  • An HGV Category C+E Licence is also a desirable asset.
