Key Considerations for Your Career Path:

When considering this opportunity, here are some key aspects to keep in mind to align with your career aspirations:

• Time Commitment: The programme runs for two 8-week cycles during the Spring and Summer terms of 2026, commencing in January 2026. Each week requires approximately one hour of direct session delivery in schools, plus additional time for preparation. You'll be expected to attend at least six out of eight sessions per programme. Flexibility and adaptability are crucial, as programme locations, dates, and times can vary annually.
• Location and Travel: Roles are based in or within approximately 45 minutes of Greater Manchester. Specific locations and timings are detailed in the original job advert, with a current priority for East Didsbury, Crumpsall, Wigan, and Worsley.
• Safeguarding: A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people is paramount. An Enhanced Disclosure Check will be conducted.
• Essential Attributes: While an educational background is not a prerequisite, a genuine enthusiasm for engaging with and developing young people is essential. Strong organisational, communication, and reliability skills are key.
• Programme Structure: You will be delivering group mentoring sessions focused on essential life skills, building rapport, and fostering positive group dynamics.
