Key Considerations for Your Career Path:

  • Technical Depth: This role demands a solid understanding of power system and protection design across various voltage levels (132KV, 33KV, 11KV, and intermediate voltages). A strong grasp of UK Power Networks design, CDM standards, and relevant industry codes of practice is essential.
  • Design Process Expertise: You will be responsible for producing high-quality electrical designs to agreed scopes, cost, time, and quality targets. This includes producing concept and developed designs from specifications and drawings, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and company procedures.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Success in this role hinges on your ability to collaborate effectively with operational teams, external engineering organizations, and stakeholders. Providing an excellent service to customers is paramount.
  • Health & Safety Focus: A strong safety culture and a sound understanding of Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations are critical.
