Key Responsibilities and Daily Impact:

  • Technical Excellence: Undertake expert fault diagnosis and coordinate effective repairs across a diverse estate.
  • Safety and Compliance: Conduct thorough inspections and testing of electrical systems, power distribution, lighting, wiring, and controls to ensure the highest standards of safety and reliability.
  • Proactive Maintenance: Contribute to predictive maintenance programmes, aligning with strategic asset management plans.
  • Infrastructure Enhancement: Identify and implement improvements to electrical services, demonstrating your proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Resource Management: Maintain accurate inventory of electrical supplies and components, ensuring operational efficiency.

What We're Looking For (Essential Experience & Qualifications):

  • Proven experience in a similar electrical maintenance role.
  • Essential Qualifications:
    • City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Qualification.
    • Initial and Periodic Electrical Inspection and Testing (2391).
    • Current Edition Wiring Regulations – BS7671 (18th Edition).
  • A full UK Driving Licence is required.

Important Considerations for Candidates:

  • Physical Demands: This is a hands-on role that involves manual work, including lifting, bending, using tools, and standing for extended periods. Candidates should be comfortable with these physical requirements.
  • Working Hours: The role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, 8 am–4:30 pm, and Friday, 8 am–4 pm.
  • On-Call Commitment: After six months of service, participation in an on-call rota will be required, with additional compensation and overtime rates.
  • Security Clearance: Successful candidates must be able to obtain and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance.
