We make it, store it, move it, sell it, and mend it.  Emerging Talent Lead (Engineering Apprenticeships) Windsor / Glasgow Uddingston / Flexible UK Locations with FlexFirst hybrid working Revised closing date: 23rd June at midnight Overview: We're looking for an Emerging Talent Lead to join our team and focus on Engineering Apprenticeships. Reporting to the Group Performance & Talent Director, you'll work closely with our People teams, Emerging Talent Leads, and Academy teams to ensure our apprenticeship strategy aligns with our broader Talent strategy. Your role will be crucial in developing, implementing, and overseeing the performance of our apprenticeship programs across Centrica. About the Role: Strategy Development: You'll be responsible for creating and executing Centrica's apprenticeship strategy. This includes supporting our talent and performance agenda and finding opportunities to integrate apprenticeships as a development route for our existing employees. Stakeholder Management: You'll identify and manage relationships with internal and senior stakeholders to support key decisions that enable the business to perform effectively. Team Management: You'll matrix manage an internal team responsible for planning, development, delivery, administration, data management, funding, and governance of apprenticeships. External Partnerships: Using internal and external insights, you'll identify and manage external partners to deliver high-quality apprenticeship programs, ensuring key outcomes in terms of quality and experience. Performance Monitoring: You'll provide ongoing insights into the performance of all our apprenticeship programs, including apprentice volumes, regulatory requirements, commercial aspects, and levy funding. Communication and Engagement: You'll deliver a communication and engagement strategy to drive participation in apprenticeships and increase awareness and understanding of key roles that enable apprentices to succeed. Integration and Development: You'll identify opportunities to integrate apprenticeships into Centrica development offerings and achieve our People & Planet Plan commitments. External Representation: You'll represent Centrica at external events and with strategic partners, building networks to ensure best practices are followed both within and outside of Centrica. Quality Improvement: You'll drive continual improvement across employer/provider offerings by managing the Quality Improvement Plan and Self-Assessment Report in conjunction with Academy delivery teams. Compliance: You'll ensure compliance with the current Education Inspection Framework and ESFA Department for Education requirements to maintain our Employer Provider status. What We're Looking For: Experience in defining and implementing measurable apprenticeship strategies. Knowledge of domestic natural gas and electrical apprenticeship programs and standards. Experience managing a diverse apprenticeship portfolio, including internal and external providers. Familiarity with the Apprenticeship Provider and Assessment Register (APAR) framework, Ofsted, and ESFA requirements. Experience in managing large-scale development programs and senior stakeholders within a matrix structure. Understanding of Talent and Performance agendas and typical development pathways. Strong collaboration and influence skills with external organizations and senior management. Knowledge of current Safeguarding & Prevent legislation and practices. Data-driven decision-making skills. Excellent communication and relationship management skills. Proactive, resilient, motivated, and results-oriented. Project management qualifications are desirable.
