Job Description Engine Delivery Manager, Customer Full Time Derby What you will be doing: Our large engine value streams for Airbus and Boeing are amongst the company most significant revenue streams, as well as being of the highest importance for our airline customers. An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Customer Team in Operations to lead a key part of this value stream as Engine Delivery Manager, interfacing directly with our Customer, and also being accountable internally for managing the Engine Delivery interfaces with our Value Stream and Customer Team organisations. You will be an integral part of ensuring we can deliver engines and respond with agility to changing demand or supply to meet our business and financial commitments. Responsibilities: The first point of contact for both Airbus & Boeing. Responsible for managing and maintaining regular communications to satisfy the needs of our Airframes across all OE engine programmes. Manages and leads the multi-time weekly standard diary production reviews with all customers (internal & external) Conducts daily A&T build reviews/walks, accompanied by member of the external customer teams. Responsible for ensuring consistent messaging with our customers through initiating internal communications for alignment. Support, influence and motivate the wider Rolls-Royce team (including at a Senior level). Ensuring the true customer requirements of our Airframers (Boeing & Airbus) is understood, through being the internal ‘Voice of the Customer’. Managing the interface for new engine delivery with our Commercial Aviation Customer Development teams and Aftermarket Operations team interfaces to drive on time delivery of critical fleet and spare assets. Certify that the engine build plan supports customer requirements and where necessary outline risks and the customer/business impact clearly. Tracks detailed adherence to key milestones of engine build plan; engine by engine covering the value stream from module launch through to Customer hand-over (ToT). Responsible for understanding and communicating the consequences of changes to the engine build plan; ensuring that together we achieve the best outcome for our customers and overall business. Drive for high customer satisfaction through monitoring, controlling and managing PO position across all OE engine programmes. Addressing deviations from plan and ensuring full alignment on recovery plan as and when required. Lead production stand management across the airframer programme to minimise disruption. Leads the initiation of engine swaps to manage the overall balance of engine allocation for OE engine build and Fleet/Spares to best satisfy customer requirement. Responds quickly through timely decision making, is agile and will adapts to manage change in a fast-paced environment ensuring limited/no impact to Operations. Uses Problem Solving skills to troubleshoot any specific issues which prevents engines delivering by working closely with relevant key stakeholders. Where applicable manages the PMI supply process for the Trent 1000 TEN engine. Managing front end supplier shortages as well as future part hazards with the Boeing team. Promote and sustain high performance culture and professionalism throughout the business and/or function using insights from our Winning Together and Our Voices insights. Who we’re looking for: Educated to degree level or relevant professional qualification. Previous experience in Planning and Control and/or Manufacturing Operations Able to manage and make decisions under challenging circumstances. Strong communication, influencing & relationship management skills Able to take responsibility for their own development.
