Job Description Engineering Manager â Reactor Physics Performance Full-Time Derby Reactor Engineering is accountable for the component design, substantiation and safety case of most components comprising the reactor assembly. This includes the core, core structures, CRDMs, and the reactor assembly itself. The department skills include design, physics, performance, materials, and structural integrity. Our submarines business is responsible for the design, manufacture, supply and through-life support of nuclear propulsion-related products and systems in support of the Royal Navy's submarine fleet. What you will be doing This is a Band C role reporting into the Head of Reactor Engineering in the Future Programmes DBU. Have ideally completed the NSSC or equivalent course. Be a member of a recognised UK engineering institution. Have previous experience of leading large engineering teams to meet challenging business goals. Have a broad range of engineering skills and experience, especially in core design, verification, development and manufacture. Be an excellent communicator with proven record on employee engagement and stakeholder management. Understand Intellectual Property and Export Control requirements.
