About You
The Enterprise & Mentoring Manager will lead the development of innovative and impactful approaches to supporting students to progress their career readiness and career confidence at scale through two of our flagship areas Entrepreneurship and Professional Mentoring.
The postholder will oversee two high performing teams delivering career mentoring, enterprise support, and business incubation services, ensuring high-quality provision that meets the needs of our students. The role holder will join at a pivotal time for both teams and be responsible for operationalising our institutional commitments to ‘Enterprise for All’ and ‘Mentoring for All’ which will see both areas scale and increase the depth and breadth of their impact over the coming years. The ideal candidate for this post will be a dynamic and strategic leader with a strong background in enterprise or employability. They should be able to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a high paced, diverse role. They will have proven experience in designing and delivering impactful programmes at scale.
About the Job
As the Enterprise & Mentoring Manager, you will lead two flagship areas:
Entrepreneurship – overseeing enterprise support, business incubation, and start-up programmes.Professional Mentoring – expanding mentoring opportunities for students through industry partnerships and alumni engagement.You will work closely with academic leadership, industry partners, and key stakeholders to design and implement impactful initiatives that equip students with entrepreneurial skills, professional networks, and career confidence.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Strategic Leadership & Programme Development Lead the design and execution of ‘Enterprise for All’ and ‘Mentoring for All’, scaling both areas to increase their reach and impact.Oversee flagship enterprise programmes, including the ‘Millionaires Club’ Founders Space, BACK:ED incubation programme, and Shop the Dock e-commerce platform.Drive the growth of our Professional Mentoring Programme, connecting students with industry professionals and alumni.2. Partnerships & Ecosystem Development
Build and manage strategic partnerships with incubators, accelerators, investors, and employers.Develop external collaborations to secure funding, sponsorship, and business opportunities for student start-ups and mentoring initiatives.3. Team Leadership & Collaboration
Manage two high-performing teams, ensuring effective programme delivery and student engagement.Work closely with UEL schools and departments to integrate mentoring and enterprise support into academic programmes.4. Innovation & Impact
