Associated British Ports (ABP) is the UK's leading port operator, managing a network of 21 ports across the country. We are committed to providing world-class port services and facilities. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Estates Surveyor to manage our property portfolios at the ports of Ipswich, Kings Lynn, and Lowestoft.
As an Estates Surveyor at ABP, you will be responsible for the effective management and development of our estate assets across the three ports. Your role will involve ensuring optimal utilisation, maintenance, and compliance with all relevant regulations. You will be a key player in supporting our strategic goals and enhancing our property portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular property inspections and surveys. Manage lease agreements, renewals, and rent reviews. Oversee property maintenance and repair projects. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Provide expert advice on property management and development. Liaise with tenants, contractors, and stakeholders. Prepare and manage budgets for estate-related activities.Qualifications and Experience:
Degree in Estate Management, Surveying, or a related field. Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS). Proven experience in estate management, preferably within a port or industrial setting. Strong knowledge of property law and regulations. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office.
