As a FMTechnical Supervisor at HMP Altcourse, youll play a key role in ensuring our facility operates seamlessly, efficiently, and safely every single day.Youll be at the forefront of maintaining a secure, effective environment, working closely with the Deputy Head of Facilities Management to deliver exceptional Hard Services.This isnt just a technical role its a leadership opportunity.Youll manage a dedicated team, oversee high-quality maintenance, and mentor individuals including prisoners helping them develop skills as part of Sodexos commitment to rehabilitation.Each day will bring new challenges, from ensuring compliance with statutory and contractual obligations to driving the professional growth of your team. If you thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment, this is your chance to truly make a difference.Key Responsibilities :Ensure safe working practices and implement corrective actions as needed.Take an active interest in staff welfare, engagement, and professional development.Supervise and train prisoners, contributing to their rehabilitation journey.Conduct quality checks on 20% of team works each month and recognize successes.Manage and review the CAFM system, ensuring maintenance aligns with contractual agreements.Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.Provide detailed reports using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Manage communications via email and telephone.Lead and conduct 1-2-1s, mid-year, and end-of-year reviews for the Maintenance team.What Were Looking For:City & Guilds qualification in an engineering discipline.Experience in a diverse engineering/FM environment (24/365 operational experience is an advantage).Knowledge of BMS, CAFM, and in-house software packages.Strong awareness of HASAWA 1974 and British Standards.Proven ability to manage operations and projects under tight timeframes.Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.A flexible, team-player mindset with a progressive approach to maintenance services.About SodexoAt Sodexo, our purpose is to create a better every day for everyone to build a better life for all.We operate in 55 countries, serving over 100 million consumers each day through our unique combination of On-Site Food and FM Services, Benefits & Rewards Services and Personal & Home Services.We are committed to being an inclusive employer.
