This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified accountant to join Rolls-Royce & Partners Finance Limited (RRPF), a dynamic joint venture company specializing in jet engine leasing. Based in central London with a hybrid working model (3 days on-site), this role offers a chance to contribute to a business that manages the world's largest portfolio of Rolls-Royce aero engines.

Key Responsibilities and Candidate Considerations:

This Financial Accountant role is diverse and offers exposure to several critical finance functions. Candidates should be prepared for:

  • Accounts Payable Management: Overseeing the AP ledger, ensuring accurate cost reporting and timely supplier payments. Proficiency in managing supplier onboarding processes will be essential.
  • Cash Management and Reporting: This includes managing bank accounts, debt book, and producing cash forecasts. Experience with debt service payments and bank mandate management is a plus.
  • Purchase Order Process: Driving the adoption and day-to-day management of a unified PO model, including reconciliations and approval monitoring.
  • Accounts Receivable Support: Assisting operations teams with timely billing and reviewing lease agreements for accurate system recording.
  • Month-End Close and Reporting: Supporting and improving month-end processes, driving automation in management accounts production, and conducting variance analysis. Collaboration with auditors and involvement in budgeting/forecasting will also be key.
  • Continuous Improvement: A proactive approach to identifying and implementing process enhancements, particularly in streamlining month-end close and improving management reporting.
  • Tax Compliance: Involvement in preparing VAT returns and supporting annual corporate tax compliance.

What You'll Bring:

  • Qualifications: Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CA) with proven industry experience, particularly in managing AP ledgers.
  • Technical Skills: Excellent accounting knowledge, strong Excel skills, and proficiency in PowerPoint and other MS Office applications.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong teamworking and communication abilities, commercial acumen, a proactive attitude, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Desirable Experience: Financial modelling skills, knowledge of systems like Sun Systems, Hyperion, or Salesforce, and experience within the leasing or aviation industry are advantageous. Experience in designing and implementing new systems and processes would also be highly valued.
