Area of responsibility
There is an exciting opportunity to join the food safety team here at our Cornwall site near Bugle. Our site debones, cures and smokes pork legs which requires the very highest levels of hygiene and safety standards.
Working within a small team, quality and food safety is our focus. This factory-based role requires you to work closely with the production team on the factory floor to ensure compliance with site procedures, policies, and customer requirements.

Factory food quality Inspections and verification of factory recordsCalibration of equipmentSwab and sample collection including registrationFactory GMP and internal auditsIncident management including complaint investigationsProject work where requestedAny other general related task for the teamAssisting the Compliance Manager where required
Experience Required
Previous experience in a quality assurance or food safety role within a chilled food production environmentExcellent communication and reporting skillsAbility to conduct, report and communicate internal auditsUnderstanding of CCP’s and proceduresAbility to work under pressure with attention to detailComputer experience and skills regarding use of Microsoft Word and ExcelLevel 2 Food Safety and HACCP training (Benificial)

Hours of work are Monday – Friday14:30 - Midnight 42 hrs per week
Salary £30,000
