The HR Operations Partner Role: Driving Efficiency and Employee Experience

The HR Operations team at Nominet is the powerhouse behind our employee lifecycle. This team is dedicated to crafting intuitive and efficient processes that cover everything from onboarding to offboarding, with a strong emphasis on automation and self-service. As an HR Operations Partner, you will be instrumental in this mission. You'll blend your data-driven HR operational expertise with a passion for delivering an exceptional employee experience. What You'll Be Doing: A Strategic and Hands-On Approach

  • Leverage your comprehensive HR experience and in-depth knowledge of employment law to support effective people management throughout the entire employee lifecycle.
  • Apply a commercial mindset to provide practical, balanced advice that empowers the business to excel through its people and boosts overall performance.
  • Cultivate strong, trusted relationships with managers and the wider HR team, championing employee and manager self-service initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Head of HR Operations & Systems to enhance our systems capabilities and refine our operational workflows.

Essential Skills and Experience ("Must Haves"):

  • Proven experience in an HR function supporting second-line queries to foster a self-service environment.
  • Excellent assertive interpersonal and influencing skills, with a track record of coaching line managers to build team leadership competence.
  • Demonstrated experience in policy development and making recommendations for amendments aligned with current and future employment law.
  • Ability to interpret People data to generate insightful and actionable reports.
  • Proficiency in engaging and coaching line managers through complex people challenges.
  • Effective communication and influencing skills for building relationships across all levels and functions.
  • Previous experience leading support for key lifecycle activities such as Performance Reviews, Pay Reviews, and Engagement Surveys, including post-survey action planning.

Desirable Skills and Experience ("Nice to Haves"):

  • Change management capabilities with strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in generating and delivering reporting and analytics (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with broader systems transformation or process improvement methodologies.
