ABOUT THE ROLE . Job Description Summary: As a leader in Distribution you will realise the Partnership strategy and customer experience ambitions. You will shape the John Lewis primary transport strategy ensuring full optimisation and operational efficiency of the Partnership fleet to deliver to the right place, at the right time and in the right quantity. You will lead the 2 Person home delivery operations across multiple sites, including the primary distribution centres associated with fulfilling two-person stocked items. You will be responsible for delivering service excellence and developing propositions in line with John Lewis line of business strategy. Job Description: Lead the team of circa 2500 Partners and 3PL operations with an £150m annual budget within budget and legal parameters, driving a culture of continual improvement. Lead and shape the 2 Person Home Delivery network, both primary and secondary, across multiple sites with responsibility for the P&L, CSAT (customer service metric) and continue to grow propositions and revenue streams by increasing capability to increase attachment sales. Ensure all technical training functions for 2 Person Home Delivery are managed and compliant to all safety and legal standards. Empower and support teams to make decisions and resolve challenges. Invest in your personal and professional development, acting as a role model for all Partners. Lead on the operational delivery and strategic optimisation of the John Lewis transport network, delivering best practice in driver and vehicle development. Ensure the operations of John Lewis Primary Transport deliver all KPIs, driving a cost efficient transport service to multiple locations across the UK. Leverage insight and professional networks to keep abreast of key customer requirements, market conditions and Supply Chain trends, including technological advancements in the distribution and retail sectors to aid development of innovative transport solutions across the network.
