  • Innovation & Digital Transformation: Be at the forefront of driving the digital transformation of planning processes and tools, leveraging data and innovation to enhance delivery performance.
  • Competitive Remuneration & Benefits: An attractive salary range of £78,400 - £117,600 is complemented by a car/car allowance, performance-related bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your finances, wellbeing, and family.

  • Location Choice: Opportunities are available across our Scottish locations: Glasgow, Perth, Inverness, and Aberdeen, allowing you to choose a base that suits your lifestyle.
  • Purpose-Driven Work: Contribute to SSE's bold ambition of being a leading energy company in a net-zero world, investing heavily in homegrown energy for a cleaner, more secure future.

Key Considerations for Your Career Path:

  • Leadership of a New Function: This role offers the exciting challenge of building and embedding a new capability. Candidates should be adept at establishing frameworks, processes, and team dynamics from the ground up.
  • Enterprise-Level Experience: Proven experience in leading enterprise-level planning and scheduling for multi-billion-pound infrastructure portfolios within a regulated environment is essential.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced expertise in Primavera P6 and integrated project controls (risk, cost, resource, and performance management) is a cornerstone requirement.
  • Risk-Informed Planning: A strong focus on championing risk-informed planning and dependency management will be crucial for ensuring schedule robustness and alignment.
  • Safety Culture Integration: You will be responsible for integrating safety, health, and environmental principles into all planning activities, promoting a proactive safety culture.
  • Stakeholder Management: Success in this role will depend on your ability to build strong relationships and drive collaboration across internal teams and external partners.
  • Accreditation: A degree or equivalent in Project Management with a recognised accreditation (e.g., PMI or APM) is expected.

If you are a dynamic and experienced planning and scheduling leader ready to take on a significant challenge within a forward-thinking organisation, this is an opportunity not to be missed.
