We have made solid progress in our delivery of the Hive Home, but there is still a lot to do to be truly competitive in market. We must make the Hive Home a winning HEMs and a truly lovable product, as well as turning current customers into subscribers - helping customers with their Eco-tech and energy journeys. As the Hive Flex Lead, you will work closely across various teams and stakeholders to help realise value from demand response and consumer flexibility in the evolving energy system. The role will support value creation across both Hive and the wider Centrica Home customer base. You will support the value case of consumer flexibility end to end, actively engaging with the marketplace & regulators, modelling & validating flexibility revenue, supporting customer solution design for engaging with the system, contracting & unlocking volume and capability with partners and, tracking & reporting progress. Lower bills. About the role: Subject Matter Expert: Expertise in the flexible energy markets with a strong desire to learn. The role is to unlock value from changing energy markets and requires a dynamic view of how the external landscape is changing. To best apply what happens in market to customers, business and technology â fundamental knowledge is required. Technical Modelling Capability: Modelling and forecasting business cases for various technology entry into different markets will be critical to support decision making and prioritisation. Additionally, data based insights will support the development of customer propositions which explain flexibility in a simple way for customers and meet their needs whilst generating contribution to the business. Strong Commerciality: Analytical and commercial mindset is needed to be able to support the development of our flexibility business models, across revenue sharing and/or license and SaaS style businesses. The role will support the development of partner relationships where dynamism is required on creating mutually successful business agreements. Strategic Development: Close partner to the Head of HEMS & E2.0 Strategy, co-owning the development of a cross Centrica Home strategy for the energy transition. Strategic toolkit will be needed to ideate, create frameworks and narratives, validate with research and communicate a strategy across a broad range of senior stakeholders. Here's what we're looking for: Analytical and Commercial Skills â can demonstrate their ability to analyse data, understand market trends, identify and model business opportunities and translate that into recommendations. Data proficiency and data analytics â technically competent with the ability to us Python for modelling large data sets Strategic toolkit â Demonstrable experience solving strategic questions, creating narratives and communicating to stakeholders Leading and collaboration â motivating cross functional teams to work together towards common goals. Adaptability â can think on their feet and respond to changes in the market, business or customer need to ensure Hive stays relevant and competitive. Preferred knowledge of the Energy & Eco-tech industry, with a particular focus on home energy management systems and flexibility offerings.
