The Regulatory Execution and Closure Oversight role will be responsible for overseeing successfully delivery Regulatory Critical Business Milestones, Scoping Documents, Standards and responses to Regulatory queries for Article V of Consent Order. In-depth understanding of how Article V contributes to achieving Citis objective of the bring enterprise data under governance, building out a effective data controls and exception management process around our data to support complete, accurate and timely reporting. A good understanding of the industry, direct competitors' approaches, is also necessary in order to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication/negotiation may be necessary. Responsible for executing functional strategy in area managed. Accountable for end results, budgeting, planning, policy formulation and contribution to future strategy of the area(s).
Responsibilities:
Develop an team of professionals who will understand the expectations for milestone and RBCM closure and are able to work with the owners as trusted advisors. Work with the senior management responsible for delivery of key Consent Order commitments to ensure actions and controls are effectively designed and are operating effectively.
Ensures CO projects are defined, tracked and communicated.
Partners with IT and business leadership and other key stakeholders to identify opportunities and to prioritize support to deliver greatest value to the business
People management/ budget, policy formulation and leadership of project strategy for area of responsibility.
Evaluate direct staff performance and makes decisions on pay increases, hiring, terminations and other personnel actions.
Provides evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information in complicated, unique and dynamic situations; draws on diverse range of internal and external sources.
Influences and negotiates with senior leaders (across functions); may communicate with external parties.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup
Areas of focus include, but not limited to, oversight of RBCM execution and closure, Scoping documents for Commitments at a gap and romanette level, support authoring standard and procedures and helping respond to queries from Regulators on Article V.
Co-ordination with BFQC, TLQC and IA (assurance functions) to ensure all RBCMs pass reviews.
Raise concerns or potential failure points early and escalate any issue that may cause the milestone or RBCM to fail validation
Qualifications:
Audit experience
Relevant experience in a related technology role with commensurate people management experience
Relevant technology process or technology controls experience
Proven record of multi-tasking and managing projects to tight timelines
Ability to review processes and documentation and identify issues
Working knowledge of the industry and competitors products and services
Proficient computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Office applications
Demonstrated leadership, management, and development skills
Education:
Bachelors degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Masters degree preferred
