Are you passionate about driving measurable impact and shaping the future of cybersecurity? We are excited to present an opportunity for a dedicated Impact and Evaluation Officer to join our dynamic team at the School of Computing and Communications, supporting the critical CyberFocus Place-Based Impact Accelerator Account (PBIAA) Project.

This full-time, fixed-term position, running until March 16, 2029, offers a chance to be at the forefront of regional cyber innovation. This role is fully externally funded, highlighting the significant investment and importance of the project.

What You'll Be Doing:

As an Impact and Evaluation Officer, you will play a pivotal role in:

  • Collaborating closely with the CyberFocus team to design and implement impactful engagement activities across the programme.
  • Effectively capturing, analyzing, and communicating the outcomes of engagement with academic, civic, and industry partners.
  • Leveraging mixed research methods to generate both qualitative and quantitative insights that will guide program development and demonstrate tangible impact.
  • Developing compelling, evidence-based outputs such as impact case studies, reports, and external communications to inform policy and project reporting.
  • Monitoring and tracking project outcomes and impact indicators across various delivery work packages.

  • A motivated and focused approach, capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a demonstrated ability to quickly learn new software and systems.
  • A genuine curiosity and eagerness to learn, contributing to both your personal development and the success of the team.

About the CyberFocus Initiative and Lancaster University:

You will be an integral part of the School of Computing and Communications, contributing to the ambitious CyberFocus PBIAA team. CyberFocus, a substantial £5M EPSRC, UKRI-funded programme, is dedicated to driving cyber innovation and fostering regional impact.
