Lancaster is proud of the results of the 2016 employee survey, with an overall response rate of 73%. 92% said that compared with the industry average of 88%, the university is an ideal place to work. The university was selected as the "University of the Year 2018" by The Times and The Sunday Times, and won a gold award in the UK government’s Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF), which is the highest ranking.
Our performance in the latest Research Excellence Framework (2014) places us among the top universities in the UK, which reflects our continuous growth in regional, national and international research partnerships, and our outstanding record in teaching quality. Our prestigious university system also encourages interaction between faculty, staff and students, and provides opportunities to establish interdisciplinary work. The combination of our REF results and our TEF gold medal shows that Lancaster does have something special.
