The Improvement Project Manager is based at the BAE Systems site in Barrow in Furness, with a team of engineers and project professionals from partner organisations. The role works daily with BAE Systems and MoD staff to deliver the Dreadnought class power and propulsion build and commissioning programme. What you will be doing Lead and manage the JRT Improvement Programme to deliver a wide range of improvements on the reactor build and commissioning programmes. Manage the overall programme to ensure that improvement ideas are captured, sentenced and prioritised appropriately and implementation is governed according to the Improvement Programme Management Plan (PMP). In this role you will be responsible for: Lead the Joint Reactor Team improvement programme to reduce time, cost or risk on the reactor programme. Maintain relationships with stakeholders across the enterprise to ensure the improvement programme is properly resourced and prioritised. Develop and manage improvement initiatives and business cases to gain funding and resources from the relevant enterprise partners. Manage any issues, risks and opportunities that impact the successful delivery of the Improvement Programme. Ensure benefits are registered and reflected in the relevant boat plans. Lead the JRT Improvement Board and represent the JRT at senior reviews with all enterprise partners.
