Adur & Worthing Councils are looking for a Income and Payables Officer to contribute to the efficient processing of our financial transactions and provide crucial support to our Finance Department.
In this role, you will:
Process sundry debtors and supplier invoices accurately. Maintain customer and supplier details for correct invoice processing. Input manual payments and direct debits. Handle supplier, customer, and employee finance enquiries. Assist with the collation of statistical information. Ensure high standards of customer care. Provide cover across various finance sections. Process quantities of coins and balance cash and cheque payments. Act as a positive representative of the Finance Department.We are looking for someone with:
Willingness to adapt to new ways of working. Enthusiasm for teamwork and collaboration. Honesty, openness, and a proactive approach. Ability to perform the essential function of handling and counting cash accurately, with or without reasonable adjustments. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organisational and time management abilities. GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).Ideally, you will also have:
