Insurance-Linked Securities Sales and Trading Intern (London, GB)

Our internship program offers you the opportunity to learn about the Re/insurance world. Throughout the program, you will be based within the Insurance-Linked Securities team and receive on-the-job guidance and support from qualified professionals. Note, that this is a 10-week internship with an expected start date on 23th of June 2025. We have a hybrid work scheme with a minimum of 3 in-person office days required each week. About the Role This is an internship opportunity to join the Insurance-Linked Securities (ILS) team, which is a global team with members and clients around the world. This role will support the Sales and Trading team in their regular business and strategic projects. Responsibilities:

• Assistance in distribution of ILS and other instruments (private deals and sidecars) to institutional investors in the Americas. • With support from wider ILS team, aid in responding to request for proposals and creating marketing materials. • Identify and monitor capital markets trends including analyzing loss data/payouts for Catastrophe bonds. • Work with team members to streamline valuation and index processes. About the Team Swiss Re has been a leader in Insurance-Linked Securities (ILS) since the market's inception. We're committed to the development of a market for liquid, transparent and tradable insurance-linked risk products, leveraging our re/insurance and capital markets experience. The ILS Sales and Trading team primarily markets and sells structured catastrophe bonds as well as other ILS products while also participating in secondary trading activities.

About You We are looking for a organized, detail-oriented person with excellent organizational and time management skills, who can thrive in a fast-moving environment. Essentails:

• You are either close to completion or have recently completed your Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, economics, mathematics or other quantitative field. • Strong Microsoft Office Skills such as Excel and PowerPoint. • Excellent oral and written English. • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R and SQL. #LI-Hybrid
