Integrated Financial Crime Programme - A&R Business Analyst

Business Oversight Compliance are a critical part of the 2nd Line of Defence within Barclays and are responsible for providing oversight to businesses within Barclays Bank UK (BUK) and Barclays Bank PLC (BBPLC), withdedicated Financial Crime teams.

The Financial Crime function facilitates risk-based, effective and efficientfinancial crime risk management by providing expert support and oversight to the business and our legalentities.

To be successful as a Integrated Financial Crime Programme - A&R Business Analyst you should have:

Experience working within the Financial Services Industry, and working within an AML Transformationproject

Experience conducting Business Analysis/Business Change (e.g. owning tasks according to project plans,liaising with multiple stakeholders across cross functional teams, drafting and presenting design papers)

Good understanding of 1st line of defence and 2nd line of defence financial crime capabilities, and howthese interact with each other

Previous experience in designing and implementing a risk management operating model and embeddingapplicable accountabilities and responsibilities across end-to-end processes, systems and controls

Strong stakeholder engagement experience

Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:

Cross line of business knowledge and experience e.g. Retail, Private Banking and Wealth Management,Corporate and Investment Banking

Purpose of the role

To provide data-led expert oversight and check and challenge on business and compliance matters to evidence that the organisation is operating in a compliance with Barclays legal, regulatory and ethical responsibilities.

Accountabilities

Identification and assessment of compliance risks through thorough reviews of business activities, changes, processes, testing and systems to.Identification and investigation of potential market abuse, including but not limited to, Insider Dealing, Unlawful Disclosure, Market Manipulation or Anti-Competitive Conduct.Conduct investigation of compliance risk events or breaches. Oversight and check and challenge of corrective actions and preventative measures to avoid future occurrences.Implementation of compliance policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements and ensuring that the banks internal policies are aligned with international standards, including jurisdictional requirements.Collaboration with 1LOD, other relevant Compliance teams and legal, and relevant risk management functions to facilitate a comprehensive approach to compliance and risk management.Identification, investigation and oversight of potential money laundering, terrorist financing or other financial crime.
