Role purpose The Internal Communications & Leadership Manager has responsibility for company-wide Internal and L’Oréal Groupe Communication to all employees globally at Aesop. In this global role, you are responsible for ensuring Aesop's key global internal communications activities and projects within the Internal Communications, and broader Engagement & Communications, strategies are delivered in a timely and effective manner. Your role will be to develop innovative engagement strategies to foster a sense of belonging among employees, with a specific approach for retail consultants worldwide. You will be tasked with developing and implementing communication strategies and practices that increase employee awareness of the brand goals and activities, celebrate the brand unique know-how and craftmanship, support Aesop's growth and enable business activities to become visible. This is an influential role, which will require liaison with Aesop's senior leadership team. Role responsibilities include, but not limited to – Implement and oversee all global Internal Communications programmes, including those on behalf of L’Oréal Groupe Evolve the annual global internal communications strategy and programme, including maintaining and adhering to the agreed budget, and regularly measure and evaluate the effectiveness of the strategy against agreed objectives Work closely with senior leaders to advise on, and influence, their role in activating relevant campaigns and processes Lead and influence local internal communications teams and office managers team to roll-out global guidelines. Review and manage new and existing internal communications channels and tools, ensuring a balanced offering across digital and face-to-face, supporting the business to effectively cascade messaging. Lead the creation of key internal communication assets and articles, including partnering with internal and external teams as needed Develop internal event creative concepts and agendas, and lead event organisation and production. Develop a specific strategy to animate our retail consultant community. Work in partnership with the Brand Advocacy Manager to develop Advocacy & Social Media guidelines for retail consultant and in consultation with the Global Retail team. Be in charge of leadership communications, supporting the Brand President and leading all leadership communications initiatives (newsletters, townhalls, LinkedIn) Work with key stakeholders such as HR, Global Retail and Zone teams to consider all internal audiences and help them to engage in global channels and stories, adapting the communications approach as necessary Support on key change projects related to internal comms Lead the governance of other relevant IC activities across the brand/company This is a full time operating with a hybrid working pattern on a 12 month fixed term basis. What we are looking for Open mindset and deep curiosity seeking to understand others, listen without judgement and act on diverse perspectives Commitment to fostering an inclusive and psychologically safe work environment Experience in a global internal communications management role, dealing with senior stakeholders in sensitive situations A track record of successful internal communications and employee engagement experience in a fast moving, international organisation Experience in managing, writing, developing and coordinating employee publications, communications, and internal promotional material A strong interest in culture, art and design A strong understanding and appreciation of Aesop culture Ability to work confidently and constructively with change and an evolving brand A thorough and analytical approach to planning and project management An excellent communicator, relationship builder and adapt at managing multiple and senior stakeholders Ability to work with discretion and confidentiality, as needed Demonstrated experience in utilising various mediums to distribute information including extensive experience using online communications Highly proficient writing skills pertaining to the correct use of grammar, spelling and story construction techniques for various audiences.
