Join us, be part of more. We’re so much more than an energy company. We’re a family of brands revolutionising how we power the planet. We're energisers. One team of 21,000 colleagues that's energising a greener, fairer future by creating an energy system that doesn’t rely on fossil fuels whilst living our powerful commitment to igniting positive change in our communities. Here, you can find more purpose, more passion, and more potential. That why working here is #MoreThanACareer. We do energy differently - we do it all. We make it, store it, move it, sell it, and mend it. About your team: At British Gas, our mission is to sell it and mend it. We’ve been powering the UK homes and businesses for over 200 years – but supplying energy is just part of what we do. We’re making the UK greener and more energy efficient, getting closer to Net Zero. By using clever tech like thermostats, heat pumps, solar panels and EV chargers, we’re making it cheaper and easier for our customers to reduce their carbon-footprint. About your role: We’re looking for people that are ready to dive headfirst into the world of Gas Engineering. Age? Gender? Background? Just numbers and stories that make you, you. We’re here for your drive, your passion, and that fire in your eyes. Under the wing of our experienced engineers, you’ll soon learn how to deliver energy efficient solutions to our customers through servicing, maintaining, repairing, OR upgrading central heating systems. Don’t be fooled, this isn’t your average gig; it a hands-dirty, skills-up, heads-down role. But it is one like no other, where you’ll play a pivotal role in providing energy-efficient solutions that directly impact the lives of families every single day, ensuring their homes are warm and their kettles boiled. We'll reward you well: You'll start on a competitive £17,850, rising to £43,733 once you are fully qualified & consistently performing at the same level as our competent & experienced Gas Service & Repair Engineers (plus London weighting where applicable of up to £6K). Here's what we’re looking for: 4 GCSEs, ideally including Maths & English, at grade C/4 or above or a recognised equivalent A carefully considered CV that shows you have a genuine passion for learning a trade, able to demonstrate that you are mechanically or technically minded, & love providing awesome customer service A full UK driving licence with 6 points or less Availability to attend training at our UK-wide academies, with provided accommodation and travel if needed Important Notice Regarding 2025 Recruitment: We are planning extensive recruitment throughout 2025, across various locations. As such, start dates will be location dependent. If your application is selected for further consideration, we will contact you.
