Citi Consumer, Luxury & Retail team: The team has been consistently growing in the last 2 years and is one of the leading franchises on the street. The team covers wide array of consumer sub-verticals and has strong relationships with leading global consumer strategic players as well as all relevant Sponsors active in the space. The deal flow has been exceptionally strong and as a result team requires further junior support as business grows.

The Investment Banking Analyst is an junior level position responsible for assisting clients in raising funds in the capital markets, as well as in providing strategic advisory services for mergers, acquisitions and other types of financial transactions. The overall objective of this role is to support the team and senior team members in acting as strategic advisor to our clients by formulating investment ideas, strategies and raising capital.Responsibilities:

Work with senior officers and professionals and participate in particular client transactions, projects or assignments as the junior member of the Investment Banking teamResponsible for organizing and analysing sophisticated financial data used in client proposals and strategic plansPrepare written recommendations, valuation materials and statistical exhibits for pitches and live dealsConduct economic/financial researchEvaluate companys financial performance compared to overall industry and market trendsBuild complex financial models for valuation / M&A analysis purposesAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

Previous Investment Banking and/or Advisory experienceBachelor's degree in Finance or closely related areas of Business AdministrationConsistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work under pressure in a rapidly changing environment in order to meet deadlines

Education:

Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience

In order to comply with the requirements of the Certification Regime, Citi entities must take reasonable care to ensure that an employee does not perform a Certified Role without first being certified as Fit and Proper. For this reason, you will be assessed for this role against the Fit and Proper requirements, as described above.

This assessment will be carried out through extensive interviews, self-disclosures, permitted criminal record checks, regulated reference checks, credit checks and other background screening checks.
