Java Developer Equity Finance Technology – VP (BELFAST)
The Equity Finance Technology team are seeking a software engineer for the Trading technology team Belfast. This role requires strong expertise in Java and the ability to work with traders in building business added value through agile delivery.
Responsibilities:
Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standardsProvide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprintUtilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementationDevelop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goalsProvide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutionsServe as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessaryQualifications:
Extensive relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis roleExtensive experience system analysis and in programming of software applicationsExperience in managing and implementing successful projectsSubject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications DevelopmentAbility to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictateDemonstrated leadership and project management skillsConsistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communicationEssential Skills:
Strong Java Core & EnterpriseJMS, TIBCO, KafkaOracle RDBMSUnix and scripting skills (Bash / PERL)Experience in performing QAGit or equivalentJUnitDesirable:
Equity Finance IT experience in Securities Lending, Repo or SwapsReactBusiness AnalysisWeb Services knowledgeMandarin speaker would be a plusEducation:
