Key Responsibilities and What You'll Be Doing:
- Execute installation and commissioning tasks under the guidance of team coordinators and Senior Site Engineers.
- Support the Design Team with site surveys for upcoming works, contributing to accurate project planning.
- Meticulously collect and record hardware and software configuration information, collaborating closely with CAD Engineers.
- Manage and maintain site stock levels for spare parts, ensuring operational readiness.
- Maintain accurate and timely project records, crucial for compliance and future reference.
- Collaborate with the Health & Safety Lead to ensure quality procedures are rigorously audited.
- Assist in the production of essential documentation such as Risk Assessments and Method Statements to ensure efficient Permit to Work processes.
- Foster strong working relationships with other site-based teams, promoting seamless information flow and operational efficiency.
- Adhere strictly to all site procedures and champion the customer’s commitment to "Zero Harm to People and the Environment."
- Undertake additional tasks as required, demonstrating adaptability and a proactive approach.
What We're Looking For:
This role is perfectly suited for experienced Security Installation Specialists or Electrical/Data Engineers with a strong background in:
- Intruder Alarm Systems
- Access Control Systems
- CCTV
- Tanoy
- PIDs
- Intercom Systems
A strong understanding of current BS standards related to Security Systems is essential, along with a solid grasp of NSI Standards (NCP 104 CCTV, NCP 109 Access Control) and PD6662:2017. The ability to understand and commission IP devices on security systems, coupled with experience in both analogue and IP-based systems, is highly valued.
Essential Requirements (Must-Haves):
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in installing and/or servicing a diverse range of electronic security systems (Access Control, CCTV, Intruder Alarms).
- Broad IT knowledge, including software installation on Windows Operating Systems, IP-based systems, and networking principles.
- Proficiency in basic electrical principles (measuring voltage, resistance, current) and understanding of electrical components (relays, resistors).
- Exceptional attention to detail is paramount for accurate paperwork and adherence to procedural timelines.
- An enthusiastic team player capable of performing under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours and participate in a 24/7 call rota.
- A verifiable 5-year employment history and unrestricted right to work in the UK/EU.
