This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a background in any general area of psychology, particularly an area of applied psychology, to join our team of enthusiastic, dynamic and friendly staff within Department of Psychology and Mental Health, which sits within the School of Health and Wellbeing. Psychology at the University of Worcester has a long-standing history, with a thriving British Psychological Society accredited suite of BSc Psychology courses running since 1994. The School has an already impressive portfolio of undergraduate courses including Single Honours Psychology as well as named awards in Business, Clinical, Counselling, Forensic, and Sport and Exercise Psychology. Our postgraduate courses include Business Psychology MSc, Occupational Psychology MSc, Counselling MSc and Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner in Specialist Adult Mental Health PG Certificate. We currently partner with the Hong Kong Management Association (HKMA) to deliver our MSc Business Psychology course.

We are particularly keen to appoint a colleague with leadership aspirations who will be excited about stepping into a course leadership role as we expand our portfolio of courses.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience and expertise in an area of applied psychology and will be confident and competent in teaching across one or more of the core British Psychological Society areas (cognitive, biopsychology, social, developmental, individual differences, research methods). Successful applicants will demonstrate a clear engagement and competency in either research activity and practices or professional applied practice, commensurate with the stage of your career. You will have a strong commitment to continuing professional development and scholarly engagement. The successful applicant will act as a personal academic tutor (PAT), research project supervisor to undergraduate and/or postgraduate students. In addition, there may be an expectation to undertake course leadership roles as opportunities arise.
