The role
The University offers an exciting opportunity for someone to join the Surrey Institute of Education (SIoE) as a Lecturer in Higher Education. (This is a fixed term contract up to January 2026).
SIoE is research-led and evidence-based and gives direction to the enhancement of teaching and learning across disciplines by providing academic leadership for the continued development of excellence in academic practice.
SIoE offers certificated programmes and academic development opportunities to assist Faculties in implementing the strategic priorities set out in the University's Strategy. The post-holder will be expected to contribute to all areas of provision from our PhD programme, MA in Higher Education PGCert in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education and a range of CPD events, as well as mentor candidates on our Advance HE CPD accreditation framework to help them achieve FHEA or SFHEA.
The successful candidate will have experience of supporting colleagues at various stages in their professional development as teachers.
About you
The successful candidate should have Fellowship of Advance HE (FHEA), a sound knowledge of theory and practice in higher education, previous experience in supporting staff in developing their teacher. A PhD in an appropriate subject will be desirable.
