We are a vibrant and diverse University located in Wrexham, North East Wales.  Our strategic vision sets an ambitious agenda for our future success and growth, which focuses on the delivery of excellent learning and teaching underpinned by research.

North Wales Business School is part of the Faculty for Social and Life Sciences. Delivering across a range of business subject areas and with a focus on student experience, and teaching and learning excellence, the school is expanding its online post graduate degrees to enable our students to study flexibly to achieve their professional and academic ambitions.

This is an exciting time to join Wrexham University’s Business School. Through industry collaborations, teaching, research and our civic mission, the Business School aims to make significant and impactful contributions to our community and its people.

The Role

We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in People and Organisations. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching across the main functions of human resources and wider business subject areas such as change management, leadership and strategy, both on campus and online.  You will be responsible for module leadership, as well as leading on related subject areas to ensure the business school is kept up to date with the latest research, business practices and new developments within the people and organisations field.  Additionally, you will be expected to contribute to academic research within your field of expertise.

This role will focus on your professional practice, knowledge and industry experience within HR, calling upon your skills and expertise within an industry setting, providing students with real world challenges and dialogues, with emphasis on theory to practice. You will be expected to develop a strong industry network and demonstrate confidence and credibility liaising with different sectors and industries.

You will undertake the day-to-day teaching, learning and management of modules, ensuring there is continuity of teaching and assessment, quality assurance, enhancement, and successful engagement within student and academic processes.  You will work closely with students, team members, and colleagues across the wider university to ensure a positive learning experience, and to foster a culture of inclusivity.  Experience of teaching and learning within the higher education business school sector would be an advantage.

Furthermore, you will demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching, learning and research, contributing to the school’s wider developments and areas of growth, fostering key relationships with industries and other partners and stakeholders.

You will be a member of the CIPD.

The role is wide-ranging, and you will need to be a self-motivated individual who can work flexibly and to deadlines, both autonomously and as part of a team. You will have outstanding communication, organisation and time management skills, to ensure the online programmes run smoothly and efficiently, to meet programme and University targets.

This role is based at Wrexham campus.
