We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with a substantial background in Child Care Law, who has experience in leading a team of professionals supporting Child Care Law, Adult Social Care and SEND. This role brings with it an opportunity to shape the future of our Children and Community Services Team and our Legal Services. We are looking for an innovative individual with an ability to work at pace, who is positive and solution focused.
As well as leading a team, you will have the ability to provide high quality legal advice, guidance and representation to our client departments on a wide range of matters pertaining to all aspects of child protection legislation.
We are looking for a leader who displays professionalism, can work under pressure, is adaptable to the needs of the client, has excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively at all levels across the council, including with elected members, senior leadership and other internal and external stakeholders.
You will need to be a qualified solicitor/ barrister or CILEX with or entitled to a practising certificate with significant post qualification and advocacy experience.
