Key Responsibilities for Your Consideration:

As a Logistics Operative, your day-to-day will involve a range of essential tasks, including:

  • Safely storing goods in designated warehouse and compound areas.
  • Accurately picking customer orders based on pick lists.
  • Loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
  • Assisting the Production team with tasks such as decanting products.
  • Implementing stock rotation and 5S principles to maintain an organized workspace.
  • Prioritizing workload to meet delivery deadlines and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensuring correct waste stream segregation and managing parcel deliveries.
  • Participating in daily meetings, contributing to housekeeping, and supporting the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and risk assessments.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized working environment, including audits and stock segregation.
  • Managing returnable Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs).

What We're Looking For:

To thrive in this role, ideal candidates will possess:

  • GCSEs in Maths and English.
  • A valid Forklift Truck license.
  • Demonstrable understanding of logistics operations.
  • Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE&S) regulations, including the Carriage of Dangerous Goods.
  • Comfort in handling hazardous substances.
  • Numerate and capable of working with and presenting data.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with operational teams.
  • A strong customer focus and a collaborative spirit.
  • Experience with paints or chemicals is considered advantageous.
  • Familiarity with AkzoNobel's company values and behaviours is a plus.
