The role
As a Maintenance & Substantiation Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be a core member of the engineering team, delivering asset management solutions and technical authority responsibilities to the business.
Day-to-day, your primary focus will be producing and amending maintenance documentation for assets performing on both the Nuclear and Non-Nuclear sites, and ensuring compliance with Licence Conditions, statutory legislation, and design codes/standards.
Production and upkeep of planned preventative maintenance regimes. Review and update in line with regulatory and safety claims of PPM documentation. Managing the quality of documentation. Control & Management of Assets on the maintenance database. Supporting the Technical Authority and Design Authority through the Design process
Please note that this position may be required to work in radiologically controlled areas, at height and in confined spaces. These are likely to be rare instances and training will be provided.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week (Monday – Friday) and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home.
Essential experience of the Maintenance & Substantiation Engineer
Proven background as an Electrical Engineer, ideally within maintenance aspects. High Voltage/Low Voltage experience is very advantageous.
Qualifications for the Maintenance & Substantiation Engineer
A Higher National Certificate in a relevant engineering discipline is preferred but demonstration of good field experience together with the requirement for you to further your qualification up to HNC standard will also be considered.
