If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for you! A bit about the job: You will join the M&A team in Global Corporate and Specialty (GCS). The successful individual will be underwriting time-sensitive Warranty & Indemnity, Tax & Contingent risk insurance products, which are the main products in the M&A insurance suite. Within this role, you will be responsible for new business in line with GCS strategy and agreed delegated underwriting authority limits. You will: Support and manage the process of underwriting and placing insurance policies on M&A transactions (including reviewing/agreeing confidentiality agreements with brokers/clients, preparing draft terms based on submissions received from brokers, assisting in underwriting live deals and generally communicating with brokers, lawyers and clients (as required) Liaise with key collaborators from our broker panel and establish strong relationships within Aviva. Learn the basic legal and commercial principles of M&A transactions Assist the team with producing internal and external marketing presentations. Assist with broker and client relationship development and initiatives Maintain daily project management tracking and underwriting systems, including compiling data and stats Assist with various compliance and internal reporting requirements Skills and experience weâre looking for: Organised, reliable and able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and deal-time pressures Attention to detail, verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills Decision-making and analytical skills, plus ability to work enthusiastically and collaboratively within a team environment University graduate with a minimum 2.1 advantageous, but not essential Previous experience in M&A insurance market, or relevant finance / M&A / banking / legal and/or accounting experience gained via internships and work experience placements is desirable What youâll get for this role: Our purpose - with you today, for a better tomorrow â is a promise we make to our colleagues too.
