WHAT TO EXPECT

In this role, you will provide central oversight of the various Logistics automation facilities across the business, and to be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for deployed solutions. Ensure that sufficient information is retained within the JLR business on how these facilities should be operated in order to maintain efficiency in line with design intent. Periodically audit the responsible operations teams and LLP to ensure that facilities are operated optimally and in line with expectations.

Work alongside the digital product manager in order to ensure that the future support landscape for software is understood, and plans are created and in place to ensure continuity of operations for logistics automation solutions.

Work with the local logistics operations and solutions teams to manage the definition, quotation and deployments of updates and change through the change control process.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a technical library for all automated logistics facilities • Understand the operational requirements for all automated logistics facilities • Establish the digital landscape and respective support models for automation facilities • Work with digital teams to create a roadmap for software support and updates as required for continued operations of facilities • Work with local logistics teams to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure consistent approach to creation of requirements and management of RFQ process for any required updates or upgrades • Periodically audit automation facilities and operational processes to ensure that they are operated in line with design intent

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• Previous experience in Supply Chain / Logistics • Experience of logistics automation solutions • Strong analytical skills and statistical ability • A good communicator with strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex ideas • An individual who works independently, is results driven, demonstrating tenacity, drive and perseverance with the ability to deliver operational plans in a complex, highly demanding environment • An individual with the ability to build credibility and trust through experience and personal style
