We’re looking for a hands-on, safety focused Marine Operative to join our busy and customer facing marina team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a varied and dynamic environment supporting daily marina, boatyard, and plant operations.
This is a varied, mixed role where no two days look the same, whilst ensuring we deliver excellent customer service, safe and efficient boatyard operations and general marina duties. Including:
Lifting and launching vessels using our 70T Boat Hoist Assisting with boatyard operational tasks Berthing boats using the VHF radio Pressure washing vessels Operating a Forklift Towing boats using the marina launch Providing excellent customer service Taking payments and completing invoicing Serving fuel and ensuring safe fuel-handling procedures Providing office support as needed
What we’re looking for while full training is provided, the ideal candidate will bring:
General knowledge of commercial or leisure vessels IT literacy Excellent communication skills Full UK driving licence Ability to meet health & safety standards and pass all inhouse training Desirable Experience operating plant/equipment (e.g., 70ton hoist, forklift truck) Powerboat Level 2 VHF Radio qualification or experience
Note: Hours of work are 40 hours per week, with weekend shifts required on a rota basis.
