We have an exciting opportunity for a Student Money Adviser to join our Student Services department at the University of Worcester.
The successful candidate will be part of the University’s Money Advice Service which provides information, advice and guidance on student finance, welfare benefits, money management and related issues. The team also assesses and manages applications from students applying for help from the University’s means tested hardship fund; the Access to Learning Fund and Short-Term Loans.
The post holder will work with individual students, as well as promoting practical resources and giving advice to groups of students around money management and funding options. The team works with students from their first point of enquiry (such as at Open Days) through the application and pre-entry process, and then throughout their period of study as required.
We’re looking for someone who is excited about enabling our students to fulfil their potential through a range of support services in our inclusive and community focused environment. You will need to be professional and passionate about making a difference to the individuals you support and able to work collaboratively with staff across the university. You will need to have good attention to detail in assessing financial documents and strong communication skills to support students who may be in financial hardship.

Please note that if not already an employee of the University of Worcester, the appointed candidate will be employed through our subsidiary company Uniworc Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of University of Worcester. Appointees of Uniworc Limited will automatically be enrolled into the Aviva FlexHE defined contribution pension scheme (subject to earnings and other eligibility criteria).
