Job Description Nuclear Technical Author PWR3 - Submarines Full Time (Hybrid) Derby What you will be doing As the Nuclear Technical Author you will be responsible for production and maintenance of documentation (operating handbooks, reference books, illustrations and maintenance aids) with nuclear and radiological implications, and provision of safety advice. This is an excellent opportunity for those with Operator, Watchkeeper or PWR1,PWR2 or PWR 3 technical knowledge to move into a technical authorship role. Responsibilities - To ensure the plant and support equipment is supplied through life with accurate and up-to-date technical documentation in accordance with contract requirements and agreed programme deliverables (time, cost, quality). - To maintain and apply the technical publication standards. - To provide advise on documents and illustrations to create maximum impact and effect. - To identify and implement improvements. - At more senior levels to manage the preparation, pricing and negotiation of new or revised publication contracts in association with the commercial area. - To respond to RRADARS and publication related queries from the customer and within Rolls-Royce and, at more senior levels provide the primary point of contact. - To provide editorial support to the production of DSP and NDE procedures.
