Operations Manager

 

Aon are looking to recruit an experienced Operations Manager for our team based in London. This is a Hybrid position with the flexibility to work both from our London office and Home.

What the day will look like

 

Client Service Delivery:

Ensuring the delivery of a co-ordinated and managed high quality, innovative client service in accordance with the agreed Scope of Service Agreement relating to ASME Liaising effectively with Client Managers, Client Directors, Client Service Managers/Advisers and the Broking team to ensure client needs are fully met and concerns raised via the Client Surveys/Feedback mechanisms are addressed/remedied. Understand Aon’s products/facilities and other offerings – ensuring budgetary forecasts are maintained.

Compliance with regulatory requirements and business procedures:

Responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company Liaising with staff and Line Managers at the location to ensure ASME are transacting business with clients and insurers in a compliant and robust way, with operational processes/systems being monitored and maintainedEnsuring that file reviews and technical audits are carried out in accordance with sign-off and ongoing supervision of staffLiaising with Aon’s technical trainers to meet with staff training requirements Ensuring all business systems and platforms are updated in “real time” and all KPIs and non-negotiables are fully met

People Management:

Support coaching, development and performance management, ensuring completed objectives with supporting personal development plans in place. Ensuring all team members attend relevant personal development courses in line with their role. Develop and support team members in the achievement of their objectives through coaching and mentoring. Attract, develop and retain talented individuals in line with business plans. Develop and maintain succession plans for key roles within the Area. Work with the ASME leadership team to develop a working environment where people are positive, motivated and enthusiastic. Act as a role model, encouraging problem solving and innovation and to support the team to achieve Aon’s service standards.

General Operations responsibilities:

Contribute to the development of strategy through the Area leadership team and wider Ops communityInvolved in business and succession planning and making decisions accordinglyLiaising with the Area Director, Client Management Director and Broking Director, to ensure effective working relationships between the New Business, Client Management and Broking teams, so that together they drive service, revenue and profit growth.Involved in setting Area budget & forecastingSupporting MBR and management meetings at local,Area and ASME UK levelOversight and responsibility for driving local/regional UCB/WC targetsDocument Maintenance & Version ControlsComplaint, E&O and LoL Handling/OversightBCP OversightResponsibility for Operational Resilience reporting and ongoing maintenance of relevant processes and artefactsResponsibility for Binder Governance reporting within their area and ongoing maintenance of relevant processes and artefactsMonthly Policy Declarations & BCOI Register MaintenanceSupport to ASME SOx and ABUK nominated leaders for Commercial Risk, ASME

Change & Operational Excellence:

Support leaders to drive change in their business unit, maximising the use of resources available, including the execution of agreed business and change plans, incorporating the needs of clients and employees

Skills and experience that will lead to success

 

ACII or equivalent preferredUnderstanding the insurance market dynamicsGood track record in change management and operational improvement or process re-engineering.Evidence of applying industry best practice or solutions to reduce efficiency, reduce risk and enhance customer service.Effective leader, providing inspiration to colleagues and the ability to resolve performance issuesStrong technical knowledge in all major and pecuniary classesHigh level of knowledge of Aon products, Services and SystemsGood influencing, listening and communication skills
