The Role: As a Data Centre Manager at Morgan Stanley (MS), you will get to manage a team that supports an Enterprise class Data Centre along with numerous colocation Data Centres across the EMEA region. In this role you will encounter interesting, challenging & complex problems every day, being a technical manager at Morgan Stanley means that you can innovate to solve these issues and help drive Operational Excellence in all areas of your role. Your day job will include (but not limited to): · Managing and developing teams of DCS engineers, providing both technical and leadership expertise and ensuring highest levels of performance. · Maintaining existing co-location and Enterprise Data Centres. · Helping build and bring online new Data Centres space and equipment. · Constantly reviewing improving all our processes and procedures. · Drive global consistency across our Data Centre Portfolio. · Assisting & managing relationships with 3rd party vendors & contractors. · Liaising with internal teams and management groups and clients. · Creating and maintaining metrics on all aspects of our Data Centres and utilising those metrics to drive positive change. · Review and report on incident management, problem management, change management, capacity management and work instruction metrics · Chair multiple weekly calls updating different part of the business on weekend works, ongoing projects and operational issues.#LI-MS2 QualificationsExperience: · You will be a proven manager with experience managing Data Centre support teams in large scale services · You will ideally come from an ICT/DCS Technical background with practical experience of racking, patching, cabling installation and decommissioning. · You will have the ability to refine and develop and document processes to optimise and improve operational functionality. · You will be able to communicate and build effective relationships at all levels of the business. · Proven management of 3rd party vendors including quoting, budgeting, performance management and QA Morgan Stanley is an equal opportunities employer.
