What You'll Be Doing: A Day in the Life

As an Operations Support Manager, your responsibilities will be diverse and impactful, focusing on driving efficiency and continuous improvement:

  • Spearheading integrated change initiatives across all service lines and functional areas within the freight operation, ensuring alignment with company objectives and fostering cross-team collaboration.
  • Overseeing daily freight operations to guarantee adherence to contractual Service Level Agreements (SLAs), with a proactive approach to identifying and implementing process optimizations and efficiency gains in logistics and transportation.
  • Analyzing and managing operational data by developing comprehensive data maps, which will inform strategic decision-making and planning.
  • Utilizing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and performance data to rigorously assess operational effectiveness and implement targeted improvements for enhanced overall performance and service delivery.
  • Defining, tracking, and communicating success metrics for change initiatives, promoting accountability and transparency in achieving project goals.
  • Continuously identifying and implementing operational best practices through close collaboration with cross-functional teams, fostering innovation and driving operational excellence.
  • Proactively addressing and mitigating resistance to transformation initiatives by engaging stakeholders, cultivating an environment of openness, and clearly articulating the benefits of change.
  • Managing continuous improvement projects, UK change initiatives, operational launches, and addressing operational pain points, ensuring project statuses are meticulously tracked.
