The role This is an opportunity not to be missed. You’ll get the chance to join a team of operators at Arla Foods Lockerbie Dairy working across our Anaerobic Digestion and effluent plant. Providing technical and process skills utilised within a multiskilled team, ensuring continuity and improvement of operation. Above all the AD Technician will work to champion safe working conditions, and contribute to the work with LEAN principles, food safety and quality at the site.

How would you add value

Operate and monitor state-of-the-art processing equipment to produce gas to grid and compliance for effluent discharge and communicates effectively to report on status of process and equipment based on performance Work with engineering and other members of the team to reduce lost time due to breakdowns and ensure plant is made available for pre-planned maintenance and projects Use specialist knowledge to analyse processes and make suggestions for optimisation and improvements. Supports the delivery of KPI targets to ensure the department and site achieves its goals Championing a safe culture by raising near misses, risk observations, environmental observations and behavioural safety observations Ensure that department paperwork is filled out accurately and in full Applies Lean to continually improve operational performance to ensure the department adopts a genuine continuous improvement mindset, seeking best practice at every opportunity.

Ambition & drive Experience working on a effluent treatment plant (ETP) or Anaerobic Digestion plant (AD) would be highly desirable A motivated team player, who can work on their own initiative and make decisions Excellent communication & people skills - ability to build positive working relationships Able to consistently work under pressure, multitask and meet deadlines Analytical and methodical approach to problem solving and an eye for detail Excellent attitude towards quality, food safety and health and safety Excellent IT skills, numeracy and literacy

A well invested, highly automated site which Is soon to receive a further c.£39 million investment to improve our facility and equipment upgrades with more planned on the horizon. Works are ongoing with our Anaerobic Digestion plant at Lockerbie which on completion will be the largest AD in Europe.
