Patient menu assistant

As aPatient Service Assistant at Sodexo in Wythenshawe Hospital, you are a key member of the Ward facilities team, providing a helpful and courteous catering service whilst maintaining a clean, hygienic environment. Your daily interaction with patients on the ward will assist in ensuring what can be a stressful time is made easier for our patients, visitors, and staff. You belong in a team where you can act with purpose and thrive in your own way.What youll do:To assist in the daily ordering of patients food for next day delivery.Be responsible for creating a printing reports to assist with the food delivery to ward level.The distribution of menu folders.Keep up to date with all special diet menus.Maintain a good relationship with all staff at ward level.Provide a bespoke customer service attitude towards patients, helping them chose their meals and offering suggestions.Liaise with ward staff to establish the patients who require a special diet or any patients with allergies.Adherence to all legislation and policies relating to patient meal service.Respond to any catering queries.What you bring:A team player with superb communication skills Previous experience in a similar role is a bonus, but a can-do attitude and complete customer focus will tick the box. Approachable, compassionate, and friendly personality - The position holder will regularly form close bonds with long-term patients and their families.
