Senior Pension Specialist – Salary circa £75.000 based on experience Aviva Staff Pension Trustee Limited is responsible for managing four pension schemes with an ambitious programme of projects. We are seeking a Pension Technical Specialist to join our Trustee Executive Services team and contribute to the successful delivery of these projects. If you have strong pension technical experience, we’re looking for you! A bit about the job: As a Pension Technical Specialist, you will provide essential defined benefit technical expertise to facilitate projects such as GMP equalisation, buy-in transactions, and the wind-up of pension schemes. Your role will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and support the Trustee Executive Team supporting the Trustee to deliver exceptional service to scheme members. Our new colleague will interface with administrators, consultants, and legal advisers and provide technical pensions expertise and support to the Trustee Executive Team and monitor compliance and legislative requirements, assessing impacts on the schemes. You’ll need to manage interactions with Aviva as a significant client of the Bulk Purchase Annuity business. Also it needs to be ensured that project deadlines are met, and services are delivered cost-effectively, implementing buy-in transactions and managing supplier relationships as well as define and manage risks appropriately. Skills and experience we’re looking for: Detailed knowledge of UK pensions regulatory framework and DB and DC benefit structures. Ability to work on multiple complex projects concurrently. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop collaborative relationships. Highly organised with experience in significant projects for trust-based defined benefit schemes. Associate or Fellow of the Pensions Management Institute or similar qualification.
