Job Description Full-Time Derby (On-Site 3 days/wk) Why Rolls-Royce? An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Off-Wing Operations Team, based in Derby. Aftermarket Operations is part of the Civil Aerospace division, providing aftermarket support for our Civil Aerospace customers. Our Off-Wing Operations team is responsible for the execution of aftermarket services and includes accountability for the performance of the external supply chain. As Planning & Customer Operations Manager within Civil Aftermarket Operations, you will play a key role in integrating the overall Supplier (Overhaul Base or OHB) Planning and Control relationships, consolidating assumptions gathering to feed the Aftermarket capacity position. You will be feeding this information into SIOP (Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning) cycles and rescheduling activity. In this role you will manage high profile external suppliers and Joint Ventures and will directly impact the ability of Aftermarket Operations to meet the demand from engine Value Stream teams, Fleet Planning, and eventually our end customers, contributing to the Financial Plan driving Civil Aerospace profitability. This is a challenging environment which will give you exposure to specific capacity issues and require you to drive cross-functional resolutions to improve. Using best practice Planning & Control, you will lead your team to link in with current operational performance and parameters to feed the building of the longer-term plan in the Aftermarket Operations Team. You will use this governance to facilitate the necessary conversations to improve and line up the Rolls-Royce assumptions across the network with proven capacity and targeted growth, whilst linking in with any Strategic Projects and Commercial strategy. You will also facilitate the improvements to Supply Planning Processes and Operating System, ensuring the tools and methods we use are fit for purpose and relevant as the Off-Wing Operations landscape grows and evolves. A key part of this role will be the development and execution of the SIOP process for capacity, linking in with Operational Teams and Central Portfolio Planning. What you will be doing: Plan for and consolidate capacity validation activities with the Overhaul bases including: Capacity Validation Reviews and Supplier Planning Assessments Coach the team to challenge OHB and cross-functional internal teams to drive actions leading to improved MRO capacity through a Supplier Engagement Plan, leading Supplier Planning Reviews with Operations and Commercial leadership Link in with Operational Teams to supply the Baseline, review operational performance and reasons for deviation, and commercial teams to understand key OHB agreements, growth plans and any commercial sensitivities affecting capacity or growth which should impact Planning Consolidate and challenge assumptions from the OHB, Project Teams, Capability and Capacity Teams, Operational Teams and Commercial Teams, which will feed into the SIOP question Lead the SIOP process for Aftermarket Operations, including creation of Questions, Response gathering and Closeout reviews and packs, to formally document the output from each stage of the planning cycle, to be able to pull together a picture of a network-wide view of capacity Set requirements for new Planning Toolsets being created including the Optimiser Tool, Advanced Planning Systems (APS), Outer Years Tool and Long Range Forecast Tool Lead improvement activities in the Supply Planning Team and delegate and consolidate team contributions to these Who weâre looking for: Being a part of Rolls-Royce, youâll know we embrace agility, are bold, pursue collaboration and seek simplicity in everything we do.⯠These principles form our values and behaviours and are an essential component of our assessment process and are fundamental qualities that we seek for all roles.
